Indian Railways has announced the application process for the Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana (RKVY) training programme under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) for the month of June 2025. The notification number RKVY/25/05 dated 07.05.2025 confirms that short-term training will be conducted at nominated Railway Training Centres across India. Selection Process:
- Selection is purely merit-based on 10th class marks.
- Candidates with CGPA must convert it to percentage using the formula: CGPA × 9.5 (as per CBSE norms).
- No entrance exam will be held.

Important Instructions:
- No job guarantee in Indian Railways is provided after the training.
- No reservation policy is applicable – the selection is purely on merit.
- Attendance of 75% is mandatory to complete the course.
- Minimum Passing Marks: 55% in written exam and 60% in practicals.
- Training is free, but candidates must arrange their own food and lodging.
- No stipend, travel allowance, or daily allowance will be given.
Required Documents (at time of reporting):
- Passport-size photo and signature
- Matriculation (10th) mark sheet and certificate
- Valid Photo ID (Aadhar, Bank Passbook, Ration Card, PAN Card, etc.)
- Medical Fitness Certificate (from a registered medical practitioner)
- Affidavit on Rs. 10 non-judicial stamp paper confirming adherence to rules
Additional Terms:
- Training will be conducted only during daytime.
- Candidates will be under the administrative control of the training institute.
- Any damage caused to institute property must be compensated by the trainee.
- The trainee will not be treated as an employee of Indian Railways under any circumstance.
- In case of any accident during training, no compensation will be provided by the Railways.
- The institute reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or alter the training schedule at any time.
- All COVID-19 safety protocols as issued by MoHFW and local authorities must be strictly followed.

- Shortlisted and waitlisted candidates will be notified via email and SMS.
- Shortlisted candidates must carry original documents for verification at the time of reporting.
